Rashelly Bland, CP-FS currently serves as the Food Safety Manager for the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Food Safety Program. Her current position involves managing a statewide regulatory program that inspects and permits over 13,000 retail and manufactured food establishments throughout the Commonwealth, in addition to managing several grants awarded to the Food Safety Program by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and serving as Vice President for the Association of Food and Drug Officials of the Southern States Executive Board. Bland received a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Old Dominion University and has received several awards throughout her career in food safety, such as Environmental Health Student of the Year in 2015 and Food Safety Inspector of the Year in 2019. She also completed the International Food Protection Training Institute's Fellowship in Food Protection and presented her research project at the 2023 Association of Food and Drug Officials Annual Educational Conference in Norfolk, VA.
